Run a Read test

You are now ready to test the Direct Modbus feature from the IoTize Toolbox App.

  1. Tap your mobile device to automatically launch IoTize Toolbox App and connect to your TapNPass. You also may launch the app and then tap your mobile, or use the BLE scanner and manually select your TapNPass.

  2. Open the menu, by clicking the menu button or swiping right, and select "Modbus".

  1. On the modbus page, open the settings by clicking on the bottom of the screen or on the settings icon on the top left corner. Set the Slave number and the Modbus register address you want to read.

  2. Click on save to confirm these settings and go back to the Modbus Page. Click on 'Read' to get the value of the selected register.

Ensure that UART Settings (accessible from the sidemenu) and Modbus settings are in accordance with your setup. See IoTize Toolbox manual for more informations.
